Sorry for the long absence this week I have been pulling 15 hour days between coaching at St. Kates for volleyball and working at Bethel. We are in preseason for volleyball and next week we head to Oneonta, New York for a tournament. Today the MIAC (our conference) preseason poll came out it read as follows:

4. Saint Benedict
5. Carleton
6. Bethel
7. St. Olaf
8. Saint Mary’s
9. Augsburg
10. (tie) Macalester
10. (tie) St. Catherine
12. Hamline
As you can see, we finished tied for 10th. Now, you have to understand for us, this is an improvement on the last ten years where I am sure we were ranked 12th every time. I think this poll represents a wide open conference field, and we have almost nowhere to move but up. I think the MIAC coaches did us a favor by placing us so low, we can, if we do well - shock the world so to speak in our conference. More on that as the season progresses.
