As a leader do you make a room larger or do you shrink it down? I ask this question and want you to ruminate on the issue a bit. Edmund Morris in his biography of Ronald Reagan, “Dutch,” talked about the difference between President Jimmy Carter and President Ronald Reagan.
Morris talks about how Jimmy Carter ’shrunk a room’ when he was in it, not talking about grand dreams, or visions compared to Ronald Reagan who ‘make a room bigger’ by his mere presence. I have been in the company of leaders who make the room smaller - and those who make the room bigger - what do you do as a leader? JVD

I’m not sure…but I know that when I’m in a room it smells a bit different…

You are someone who does not shrink the room - you expand it with your vision.
