This week I feel sharp. I feel like all things are clicking. I know this does not happen all the time so I am trying to maximize it for all it is worth. When I was a younger leader (during college) I was all about what I could accomplish. People were obstacles to me, not opportunities to partner. African Proverb: By yourself you can go fast, with others you can go far. Oh how I am learning this lesson - everyone has something to offer. This is a big change of perspective for me - people have lots to offer in the right fit, they are not obstacles.
Partner:
affiliation, assistance, association, band, body, brotherhood, business, cahoots*, cartel, chumminess, clique, club, combination, combine, community, companionship, company, conglomerate, conjunction, connection, consociation, cooperation, cooperative, corporation, coterie, crew, faction, fellowship, firm, fraternity, friendship, gang, help, hookup, house, interest, joining, lodge, mob, organization, ownership, party, ring, sharing, society, tie-up, togetherness, union -
Lots of words in English to describe partner. My wife is my numero uno partner - she is fantastic, she and I are so different - and it works well. Her vision is so different than mine, she gives me eyes where I cannot see. What a great person to go through life with. At work I have people who are bringing so much to my team - they are always telling me things from their view - many times helpful to me. Partnership - I have a new partnership starting up with my friend Heather for some coaching & writing opportunities - Heather is very talented, and so different than me. What partnerships do you have? Who is pushing you? You cannot go it alone - very true words - JVD

Joseph - thanks for the expansive insight into “partnership” - those of us who aren’t married, often feel left out of the partnership arrangement. You point out that we have vast numbers of important partners and remind us how vital all of them are. I found you by reading your review of Abba’s Child.
