Dispatches from Kauai; Chapter 1

Posted on Saturday 9 December 2006

Arrived in Kauai, Hawaii yesterday after a long day of travel. The time change is 5 hours I think so when we got here it was late for our time -by the time we went to bed we had been up for 24 hours straight. Woke up at a normal time 6:00 am, so our bodies are making the adjustment pretty quickly. Today we went to WalMart to stock up on food and bought some snorkeling gear. We also went for a little run along the ocean.

Kauai just feels like home to Danielle and I. The minute we stepped off the plane it was like putting on a shirt that is your favorite shirt - it just feels right. This afternoon we hung out at the beach pictured above, which is called Beach House beach, it is great for snorkeling and about a 60 second walk from our condo. I went snorkeling and saw probably 100 different kinds of fish of every color and shape.

That is it from the blue Pacific - hope you have a blue Hawaii day….
