Facebook

Posted on Sunday 19 November 2006

Last week I got started on Facebook. From the Facebook site, Facebook is, “A social utility that connects you with people around you.” Genius - simply genius. The creator is a 22 year old who will not sell the software, seemingly for any price. I am fascinated with this technology and network. I, as you might have guessed, amJoseph Valentine Dworak - so if you are on Facebook - feel free to look me up. In the first few days I have connected and reconnected with many old, and some new friends. Many people from my past - and people who are finding me through other people’s facebook sites. A much cleaner network than MySpace - Facebook is great.

If Facebook would have been around when I was in college I probably would have spent a lot of time using this software. I am a natural networker - this software allows you to do just that and in a way that is more fluid than websites or blogs - this is really something. Check it out.

I’ve been on it for a few weeks, but haven’t really made much use of it.. i’m always a bit hesitant of giving out my address book, or spamming people with different social networks… i’ll give it a try for a bit longer and see how it goes. i’ll add you in a moment!

Yah - I am in that trial stage as well - but it is fairly addictive.
