We lost on Wednesday to the 14th ranked team in the country… here is the story:
September 13, 2006 – The College of St. Catherine volleyball team lost to Saint Benedict by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday night. The Blazers got off to a great start on won game one by a score of 30-9. The Wildcats played much better in game two but went down 0-2 by the score of 30-28. The Blazers completed the 3-0 victory in game three with a win by the score of 30-15.
The Wildcats were led by Emily Von Hon’s seven kills and Lana Brand added five kills in the loss.
“We played a very good team tonight, they are going to be one of the better teams in the MIAC this season,” stated Wildcat head coach Nicole Hess. “We were able to take a lot away from this match. We’ll get back to work tomorrow and we are looking forward to the match this weekend at Northland” added Hess.
The Wildcat’s record currently sits at 4-6 (overall), 0-1 (MIAC) and they will resume action this Saturday at Northland College in Ashland, WI.
