Waimea

Today it is supposed to hit 104 degrees here in the twin cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul - to quote my favorite celebutante Paris Hilton, “That’s Hot.”  My wife and I are going to get out the door here shortly to go for a run in the relatively cool 84 degree temperatures at 9:00 am. 

Yesterday I had a wonderful time playing golf with one of my volleyball player’s (Whitney) dad Doug.  We played at Mississippi National in Red Wing, Minnesota.  (See pic above) - If you have not been to Red Wing, Minnesota it is a fantastic old totally restored river town that has a great little downtown. 

Red Wing is also surrounded by high cliffs that overlook the Mississippi River - the golf course plays 500 - 600 ft above the river so you have great golf and views througout.  Doug was a great host and took me out to lunch afterwards - fun times in the hot summer.
