On Life

Posted on Wednesday 21 June 2006

Never give up on a day because you might not know what is around the corner. Today I got some really good news about a future consulting gig and I am extremely stoked about it. It is in the realm of women’s volleyball and coaching and it will be a blast for sure. Still working out some details but needless to say - I am ecstatic.

There is a lot cooking in my life right now - possibilities, chapters, challenges, friends, family - beginnings, closures - my head is swimming a bit as I think about all of it - but it feels good to be moving through this life. I am so thankful for my life. My family, etc. I am reading Hemmingway’s “For Whom The Bell Tolls” right now and just finished “A Catcher In The Rye” by J.D. Salinger. Good books are like a finely aged wine… after six years of reading books for my Master’s degree, I am glad to be reading books just for pure pleasure. I suggest you read all of Hemmingway - he is just great.

Glad things are going well, Joe. Thought I’d just stop by and say hi and see how you’re doing. And I’m definitely with you on your “good books are like a finely aged wine” comment!
