Breaking 90

Posted on Saturday 22 April 2006

Today marked my 4th golf round of the season and I shot 89. Last year it took me four months to break 90, and today it happened in the second week of the season. Boy does that feel good. The crazy thing about the round was that I only had 3 pars and no birdies. It was just consistent. The really exciting thing about the round is that I know I can move towards shooting lower 80’s again, which I have not done since I was 19.

The next goal for the season is to start putting better. Today I made nothing outside of 10 feet. That is not acceptable. It was just a great day here in Minneapolis, 65 degrees and sunny - cool but warm enough. Bright blue sky - what more could you ask for? Well maybe 85 degrees and sunny - oh wait that is what I will get tomorrow in Las Vegas. Until then - sayonara - JVD
