U2 just keeps humming along. They are amazing really. How many bands have come and gone during the 25 year reign of U2 at the top? Thousands. The great thing about U2 is they keep putting out great music. This post is just a tribute and way for me to say congrats to my favorite band. Keep it up, and when you stink - hang it up. JVD

I posted about this too! —

I was running at the gym yesterday and listening to my iPod in shuffle mode. The song Elevation came on and I was beaming. I picked up the pace and ran hard and fast for the whole song … ah, what a rush … oh, how they inspire me!

Have you been to any of their shows? — An experience like no other. I made a point of seeing them twice already on this current tour.

U2 are an amazing band. I am honored to call Bono a fellow missionary. Love has found a way with this man.

By-the-way, glad you got the car back. i enjoyed your blogs about that. I liked that you saw this situation as an opportunity to evaluate and grow as a person.

Tina - Yes, I have been twice to see U2, just recently for the past tour and for Elevation. The Elevation tour was a total worship experience, with Bono saying among other things, “were having church up in here tonight, ” etc. It was great.

Thanks for the feedback on the blog series - helps to have a great wife who helps me have a good outlook on things that are happening. I think we are buying a new car tonight, so it all works out. JVD

I love U2. Them and Colplay are definitely right up there as favourite bands of mine. Never got to see either of them live yet…hopefully one day! Bono’s “sermon” at the recent President’s prayer breakfast was fantastic too!

Sam - I had the opportunity to read that message at the National Prayer Breakfast, pretty cool. I think Bono is dead on. JVD
